I once met (now this may not be true - on his account, not mine) one of the men who invented Dr. Pepper. He said they created it whilst in college... and later sold the ingredients to chemists who then created the soda. It was later bought by coca cola.
It's arguably my favorite soda. Goes best with a Taco Salad from Taco Bell. You must eat the whole shell too.
